Clogged Applicator Tips on CA Bottles
Applicator tip is permitted to touch the surface being bonded, gathering contamination.
When the CA bottle is relaxed, the contamination is drawn or wicked into the applicator tip.
Depending on the moisture content of the contamination, the clog may occur immediately or
several hours later.
Foreign object is inserted into the applicator tip in an attempt to clear the applicator tip.
Object is contaminated, with the contaminates being introducing into the applicator tip and/or
entire bottleCA. Depending on the moisture content of the contamination, the clog may occur
immediately or several hours later.
Accelerators or "kickers" stored in close proximity of an open bottle of CA may
cause the CA residing on and around the applicator tip to cure. Store the accelerator and CA separately.

Storage of CA
Unopened bottles of CA should be stored in the freezer. Remove the bottle from the freezer and
permit the bottle to slow warm to room temperature. Wipe down the bottle with a clean, dry towel
before use.
Opened bottles of CA should not be stored in areas of high humidity, in direct sunlight or in the
immediate proximity of accelerators or kickers.

CA Safety
Before cutting the CA bottle nozzle, loosen and retighten the bottle top. This will releave any pressure
that might have built up inside which could result in the adhesive being sprayed all over you and your project.
Always ensure adequate ventilation has been set up. A window, door or small fan supporting the circulation
of fresh air should be incorporated into your work area.
Avoid working directly overtop of the bonding area where the fumes would rise directly into your face.
Repeated heavy exposure of this type may result in becoming sensitized to the fumes.
